I started as a regular team member then got promoted to production team leader over door line.• I worked on door line
one year as a team member, 4 years as a team leader.
• On door line there was 22 jobs(pitches), in which had to be completed every minute and a half. You were only
required to know 4 of them, I learned all 22.
• I was over repairing door sets that had a defect from team members, or that were not finished in takt time.
• I had to fill in whatever position was empty if a team member was absent from work.
• I made work rotation schedules daily for 34 team members to rotate between 5 jobs in 10 hours.
• I was responsible to come in to work a half hour early to make sure tools and all necessary equipment was ready for team members to start work immediately.
• I was responsible for making sure everybody filled out the time sheets correctly and promptly.
• Total defects per car, cars made, team members working, overall operation percentile, line stops, downtime,
reoccurring defects, and 5 step defect resolutions was recorded by me daily on my team leader board.
• I was responsible for delegating cleaning assignments for team members at the end of our shifts.
• When parts on the line ran low, I was responsible for calling logistics to make sure the proper parts were
brought to the line.
• If the line went down, or there was a problem with tools, I was responsible for making sure maintenance
came to fix any problems that occurred.
• When the supervised is absent, I was responsible for putting in time for team members and attending morning meetings with the managers.
• Responsible for getting new employees trained.
