6. To conduct market surveys and inter hotel price comparisons of some common fast moving items and share the findings with the management.

7. To implement & enforce all operating & control procedures to ensure that the movement of goods into the hotel is as per expected quality & standard.

8. To uphold the purchasing ethics when deciding upon the vendor.

General Responsibilities

1. Ensure that proper operating standards are in place and adhered to in all areas of purchasing.

2. To prepare the activity reports from time to time and share them with the management.

3. Disseminate information, rules, policy & procedures to all staff for their understanding and follow.3. Support & develop the staff through effective training and skill development to achieve hotels performance expectations.

4. To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel's employee rules & regulations and adhere to the hotel's policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.

5. To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees through multi skilling, multi tasking and flexible scheduling and by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
