Area of Interest: All fields of petroleum engineering inspire me, besides Well Testing, Colloidal Physics and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) are the areas where I am keen to work. Project and Presentation

Ongoing Project: “Flow Modelling in Heterogeneous clastic reservoir” Aim: To develop flow models considering the areal and vertical heterogeneity in a bioturbated reservoir for the overall development of oil recovery.

Activities Performed: The standard models covering a detailed literature for heterogeneous reservoir have been studied. A model of anisotropic transmissibility of bioturbated formation is developed on MODFLOW software. Core samples have been collected from bioturbated formation and core cutting is performed for analysis.

Presentations

Title: Mathematical Modelling of liquid loading in Natural Gas reservoir Presented on a mathematical model simulating the situation of liquid loading occurring in the gas reservoir due to a decrease in liquid pressure to make self-flow.

Title: Geochemical analysis of water from Bakreshwar-Tantloi hot spring for drinking and irrigation purposes.

Presented on Analysis of water samples collected from hot springs by plotting Gibbs plot, Piper plot and Durav plot with an understanding of the relative distribution of anions and cations to know its suitability for irrigation and drinking purpose with the help of Aquachem software.

Title: “Kriging Weights” – minor presentation

Presented on the concept of kriging, negative kriging and its application in determining porosity from seismic and well log data.

Internships and Field visits

One-month rural internship at Srishti. (June 2017) Objective: To interact with the rural community for scouting of grassroots Innovations in the field of medicine, agriculture, and fabrication.

Three weeks’ winter Internship at Drilling Mentor on Well Control Equipment, Principle & Procedure

(December 2017)

Objective: To learn well control practices and various pressure control equipment used in onshore and offshore rigs, with onshore rig field visits.

Two weeks’ winter Internship at ONGC Well Services (December 2018) Objective: To understand various well services such as HOC, hydrofracking, perforation, well testing and dismantling of the rig through field visits.

Six weeks Summer Internship at ONGC Well Stimulation Services (June 2019) Objective: To learn various well stimulation techniques during field visits and overview of frac pro software for hydrofracking operation.

Two weeks Hydrocarbon exploration field visit

Objective: To understand various geological structures and phenomena such as dome, basin, faults and their formation process and hand-on experience to acquire seismic, magnetic and gravity data and processed seismic refraction data to obtain low-velocity zone profile. Publications & Conferences
