As a Shift In-Charge I am looking after mainly Operation and also maintenance of 15 MW Captive Power Plan (having BHEL make Turbine having 25 stages (1 Impulse+24 reaction) with three extractions, rpm 7700, controlled through 505 WOODWARD Governor, 15 MW BHEL make Generator, 2 x 40 TPH coal fired AFBC Boilers (66 Kg/cm2, 480 C) supplied by Cather Vessel Ltd and DCS – SEIMENS & EMASION).Before I was working as a Desk Engineer (Operation of boilers and turbine from DCS).

Job responsibilities:

Emergency handling during shift operation to optimize load factor.

Minimize forced tripping hence increase the reliability & availability of the plant.

Continuous monitoring of important operational parameters having cost implications.

Ensure the fulfilment of environment & other legal compliances.

Daily coordination meeting with Head of department to discuss:

Operational events and daily plan.

Analysis of abnormal events and their remedial measures by RCF & Y-Y analysis.

Maintain water parameters within range by involving in water chemistry & DM plant activities..

Ensure smooth running of ash conveying system and coal handling system

Generating daily reports, maintaining defect register on daily basis

Involvement in various maintenance activities during shift

Planning, allocating and supervising of personal to ensure maximum utilization of manpower.

Electrical equipment operation and maintenance (transformer, HT/LT motor, switchgear and LT/HT modules).

Preparing safe working procedure for the various jobs in work place.

Projects:

Reduction of Auxiliary power consumption to improve Plant efficiency.

Reduction of Coal Consumption to improve Plant Efficiency by using coal mill reject as AFR.

Education

DIPLOMA in Electrical Engineering from Govt. Polytechnic, Azamgarh (U.P.) affiliated to B.T.U Uttar Pradesh in 2005.

One year PDC in THERMAL POWER PLANT OPERATION & MAINTENANCE from NPTI Nagpur.

Electrical supervisor Certificate from UP

12th from Shri Purushotam inter collage affiliated to U.P .B.S.E in 2001.

10th from Gandhi memorial inter collage affiliated to U.P.B.S.E in 1997.
