It is with great interest that I approach you with the goal of exploring new opportunities and apply for a position in your company. Enclosed is my resume that will tell you more about my skills and my experience.

I hold a Bachelor degree in Structural Engineering from Concordia University. Many of my works and academic projects have successfully got good appreciation. I am familiar with designing, drafting and project planning. I have a good knowledge of concrete, steel and wood structural components, optimizing and costing the construction of buildings and other civil infrastructure.

The various tasks and projects I have undertaken have allowed me to deepen my knowledge in lots of aspects in engineering. I learnt a lot about resolving problems and proposing solutions, optimizing some designs in order to decrease cost and much more. I also gained experience in project management and team building. When there is an issue, I am sure to investigate the issue fully, scope out the best methods to resolve it, probe implications of each method, and communicate the data clearly with all relevant team members. During my student career, I have developed excellent communication and technical skills, leadership and priority-setting skills.

Most of all, I am a committed individual with the skills and attributes the job requires, and a strong determination to achieve an excellent outcome for my employer.

I speak English and Arabic fluently and I have a strong command of several software platforms and servers (Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, SAP 2000, Etabs, Safe, etc.). I also have the ability to adapt very easily to new environments.

Civil Engineer Intern

NASA Construction General Trading & Contracting Company, 05-06/2017 & 07-08/2018

Worked on “Tamdeen Square Project” which consist of three 40 floors residential towers.

Assisted the senior site engineer managing the site and supervising the subcontractors along with the labour force.

Planned and oversaw the execution of various stages of the project in accordance to the contract drawings.

Communicated directly with the architects and project manager to keep them informed of reports and progress.

Worked in multiple civil works such as excavation, raft foundation, dewatering, shoring, construction of columns and slabs.

Capstone Structural Engineering Design Project (team of 7) 09/2018 - 05/2019

One of 2 projects that were selected for 2019 CSCE National Student Capstone Design Competition.

Created structural plans for two 13 storey RC buildings with a connected steel sky bridge using AutoCAD & Revit.
