To Whom It May Concern:
I highly recommend Mr. James Markus for employment. I have had the opportunity to work with him for the past 7 months in our Engineering Department where he established a working library of Solid Works models for
our everyday use in both quoting and production. This task inherently holds a large amount of responsibility due to the fact that this library is the starting point for every machine that we manufacture. If the first step is flawed,
then the system is flawed.
I’ve had the opportunity to watch Jim perform exceptionally well in the Solid Works software. His knowledge of the program was extremely useful and this was reflected by the speed in which he was able to complete new
equipment models. He was able to get more work done in Solid Works over the last 6 months than the entire department has completed in the last 12 years. He was also able to inform the other members on our engineering team on different techniques that helped save valuable time for both quoting and production.
Through Jim’s time at SP, I’ve witnessed him model up several complete machines per day, with very little instruction or training. He also introduced a much more standardized system for completing shop drawings off
of the base models, which I very much look forward to using in the near future.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Jim’s attendance, work ethic, and openness to working with others in his department. I was also impressed with his ability to take feedback from our production team and adjust the manufacturing prints and drawings to the way that they are actually built.
While I had the unfortunate task of parting ways with Jim, I have no doubt that he will be a valuable asset to any other manufacturing or design firm. If I had the work available to keep him on, you would not be reading this letter.
Respectfully,
Adam Pool
