I have ** years experience in the steel and manufacturing industry. I started my ca-
reer as general worker and build myself up in the industry with experience in many different departments. I started at the production side of the company where I learnt the manufacturing and operations department of the company. I successfully moved up to the position of Roll and Tackle Builder. I got promoted to the workshop where I started working as a Machinist for the duration of 2 years. I was given the choice to qualify as a Roll Turner within the same worshop. I completed my roll turning apprenticeship at Merseta in 2006 at Newcastle Plant. Since 2006 - 2014, I worked at Newcastle Plant. Then in 2014, I was transferred to Pretoria and still present. This is where I received further training as a Master Roll Turner. I started getting trained to do the planning and supervision of a workshop. Today I am proud to say I am a suc- cessful T.A. and planner within a department. I successfully assisted with managing and planning the Roll Turner workshop for the last 5 years. Work Experience
1998
Started as a storeman at Stanic Standard Bank. I was responsible for the receiving and dispatching of computers for new branches opening. 1999
Assistance Manager at Liqour a store. I did the daily managing of the store. 2000
Started at Arcelor Mittal Long Steel Products Newcastle. as a General worker. Duties: Working on the floor where the steel was made. I assisted with building of stands that was used to roll the steel. Driving of remote cranes and general duties. I received training as a Control Room Operator.
2001 - 2002
I was promoted to Roll & Tackle Builder in the company. I did assembling and disas- sembling of roll boxes and stands and bearing boxes for the mill. We were responsi- ble for the up keeping and maintenance of the stands, rolls and roll boxes for the mill floor.
Inhouse courses:
Working with grinder cutting torches, induction heaters, overhead cranes, hydraulic pipes, forklift training, basic rigging assisted on kark pendant cranes, remote cranes, building of stands, building of mill rolls.
2002 - 2004
I applied for a machinist post in 2002. My duties was to repair and manufacture tackle for the mill floor. I received training as machinist. Inhouse courses:

2006 - Current
Worked as a Roll Turner during this time completing my trade. During the last 5 years I fulfilled the position of Planner and Assistant Master Roll Turner. Duties:
Work Includes working on the following:
Section turning Machine, Template Wire cutting CNC machine, CNC turning machine, CNC notting machine, Manual notting machine, Groof cutting machine building and stripping of kark rolls. I do the daily planning of the workshop. I place orders to suppliers and also do the follow ups. Senior related work including the managing of staff, which includes giving staff daily tasks, daily morning meetings, safety meetings, in charge of leave, sick leaves, also responsible for the interview- ing of new employees. I do crane reports and monthly reports. I do the budget for ordering rolls for the workshop for the year. Responsible for the PPE and safety equipment. I also do the log books for cranes and slings and safety equipment. I do preparation of the roll for the roll floor.
