Job Description :

1. Maintain cable systems by installing, repairing, programming, and upgrading cable infrastructure.

2. Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system issues.

3. Test every newly installed or relocated cable in accordance with established procedures.

4. Return all equipment and supplies to respective locations after the job completion.

5. Complete required paperwork including installation checklist, timesheets, service orders, vehicle inspection report and various other logs.

6. Understand, adhere to, and promote environmental, health & safety policies.

7. Assist co-workers with installation and routine maintenance of structured cabling systems.

8. Manage pole climbing and working at heights and small confined spaces.

9. Work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.

10. Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems and ensure that they work properly

11. Examine and replace faulty and old fiber optic cables and also organize scheduled maintenance routines

12. Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas
