Project #1:
Project Customer Master
Client Anthem - USA
Duration Dec-2019 to Till Date
Domain Health Insurance
Environment IBM ODM 8.*, Rule Designer, Java Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API, GIT, Postman, Mockito, SonarCube, Bamboo, Swagger Description of the Project
A typical health insurance product premium calculation which is tagged to a member, requires details of the product, customer, demographic, broker, rate data etc. in the system. It is critical to process this data digitally in a structured and robust manner as this is not only confidential but also has no room for any error.
The data stored here needs to be enrolled in different target systems, right from storage to evaluating the premium defaulters to finally sending out the letters to the US federal for income tax. While interacting with different target systems the business procedure could vary and it is expected from the system to cater to all these needs, at the least. For example, even the simple event of the customer install could deviate from N1 to N2 steps per the business usecase, and this requires the setup at the back-end to be robust, scalable and reliable.
Hence, the system/process here needs to be foolproof to absorb all types of cases possible, in real time without any scope for unexpected events ensuring high customer satisfaction. Customer Master is a system developed by Anthem to support management of new, existing, past customers and their profiles. This system acts as system of record for customer related key information. The automated system installs groups into downstream systems such as WGS and Compass Roles and responsibilities:
