DYNAMICS SL PROJECTS

These are some examples of projects I have independently developed and implemented to provide a feature rich experience to Dynamics SL users:

Custom Crew Time Card System: Allows creation of crews, associating employees with crews, input of crew time cards in ASP.NET web forms as well as custom Time Card screen in SL. Procedures are written to automate creation of payroll time cards. Developed associated reports.

Job Management: Created a custom Jobs Screen that facilitates input of Jobs, Phases and Tasks. Additional screens are developed to input driver delivery tickets and creation of GL batches. This is a simplified custom Project Management system used by this company instead of out of box Dynamics Project Module, which they found too complicated for their operation.

Email Feature: A custom contact management screen and report distribution screen is developed to provide a simple and easy to use email functionality. This options is used by user to send out Invoices and AR Statements by using Database Mail feature of SQL Server. Automated email delivery of several custom data snapshots is developed to provide management team with information such daily sales report, daily deposit, cash balances, new customer additions, new service call additions, etc.

AR Feeder Screen: AR Feeder screen allows rapid creation of AR Invoices in simplified format. It also allows user to import invoices from excel. A procedure is written to roll-up this data and create Standard AR Invoices in AR Module.

Create IN Issue batch from AR Module: AR Invoice screen is customized to allow input of Inventory ID and cost from Inventory Module. A custom procedure is written to create Inventory Issue batches from AR Invoices. This process allows client to use simple interface between AR and Inventory module instead of using Order Management module.

Store Ticket system: This is a custom Point of Sale system developed by using VB Tools. Users can sale items from store by using hand held UPC Scanner. Ticket printing is done on a thermal printer. Store tickets can be created for internal employees or external customers. A procedure is written to push the data to employee deduction or AR Invoice depending upon type of customer.

Service Call Scheduling Screen: This screen was developed for a client to dispatch the crews to job site. The standard out of box Dynamics SL Service dispatch screen was limited in its features and also appeared to be very slow in performance. The new screen was developed to improve the performance and color code different state of Job to provide a quick and feature reach experience to the users in a fast paced operational environment.

Interfaces between Dynamics SL and Third Party Applications: Many interfaces have been written to import and export data from and to Dynamics SL screens such as Journal Entry, AR Invoice and Memo, AP Invoices, etc. The interfaces include screens to map data between two systems, import and validate the data in Dynamics SL and push the data to final Dynamics SL input screen.

Positive Pay: A Positive Pay screen has been developed to allow user to export the AP checks to the bank.

Export AP Checks: An interface is written to export AP Checks to external printing facility such as bank.

Custom Modules: A complete set of modules to provide automation of business processes that are not covered by Dynamics SL set of modules has been developed for multiple end-user companies. Such custom modules include setups screens, data input screens, reports and procedures to integrate the data with core financial modules.

Dynamics SL Upgrades, Implementation and End User Support: Over past 25 years, I have implemented Dynamics SL at more than 100 client locations. These implementations have included conversion of data from accounting systems such as Quick Books, Peach Tree etc.

Email Reports: I have written many management reports that are dispatched to recipients every day by SQL jobs or based on database triggers. Such reports provide instant notifications to the management team on important transactions and mile-stones in application database. EDUCATION
