The Company has established in 1976 with a vision to export 4 million tons of Iron Ore by 2008-09 and 0.75 million tons of TMT Bars by 2009-10. The organization aim is to position itself as a major global steel player in India and abroad The Company is having a 4X500MT Sponge Iron, 1.2 MTPA Pellet plant, 1.2 MTPA Beneficiation plant, 0.8MTPA Bar Mill, 1.1MTPA Steel Melt Shop, 15MT 4-Crucible Induction Furnace, 235MW Power Plant, Raw Material Handling System.

1st Project: 1.2 MTPA Pellet Plant

Pelletisation Plant having a capacity of 1.2 MTPA with Additive Grinding unit, Mixer, ESP, 3 no’s of Balling Unit, Travelling Grate Chain Building, 5*35 mtrs Kiln and 69m2 Annular cooler & Pulverized Coal Injection Plant. I was involved in Erection & Commissioning of Equipment’s for 5x35 mtrs Rotary Kiln and annular cooler.

Plant is commissioned in the Month of February’2012.

Job Responsibility:

•Overall supervision, work inspection and installation of mechanical equipment’s of Pellet plant consisting of Rotary kiln & Annular Cooler, pump houses & cooling tower, hydraulic lines and power packs for rotary kiln.

•Review quality formats and checklist of contractor and make corrections if any.

•Conduct weekly and monthly quality review meeting chaired by President Projects regarding site quality issues to elevate the quality index to maximum level.

2nd Project:Phase-I- 0.8 MTPA Bar Mill, 1.1MTPA Steel Melt Shop & 425TPD Oxygen

Plant

It is an Integrated Steel Plant project having a capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum and is establishing Steel and Iron manufacturing plant in its first phase with an option of establishing second phase as well.

Bar Mill & Steel Melt Shop was commissioned in the month of September ’2015 and running in full flagged.

Job Responsibility:

The job responsibility includes Planning, Execution, installation and commissioning of all the mechanical equipment’s as well as structural steel.

•Involved in Fabrication and Erection of all the steel structures- Technological and Building structures approximately 25,000MT for Rolling Mill, Steel Melt Shop, and Oxygen Plant and along with utilities.

•Steel Melt Shop all building and technological structures fabrication and erection was done by M/s Bridge and Roof.

•Bar Mill & SMS equipment’s supplied by Siemens VAI & Re-heating furnace by M/s Tenova.

•Maintaining & guiding the man power to meet the quality as per standard.

•Safety awareness and elimination of unsafe practice and condition.

•Plan the structural fabrication as per availability of raw steel and civil front open for erection and to meet the sequential erection.

•Documentation of all the records in well-organized order.

•Preparing and maintaining the Project cost & budget.

•Conducting weekly review meeting with the contractors.

•Main goal is to complete the project in time and save the cost of overall project.

3rd Project: Compressed Air Line and Steam Line for Producer Gas Plant

Steam Pipe Line for Coal Tar heating at Producer Gas Plant- Steam line (Approx 0.5km) tapped from Power Plant and provided to Producer Gas Plant for Coal Tar tank heating.

Compressed Air Piping Work- Centralized compressed piping work for all plant (Power Plant, SID Axis-1 & 2 and SID Axis-3 & 4) from Oxygen plant. Total length of pipe lying is approx. 1km.

The Company is having a green field Integrated Steel Plant near Pune, Maharashtra having a capacity of 0.3 Million ton Steel through Blast furnace & Sinter Plant. Government of Maharashtra awarded Mega Project Status to the Company. The project is commissioned in the Month of November’ 2010 & now is under production stage. I was involved in Execution of Blast Furnace and Sinter Plant fabrication and erection of steel structures and equipment erection.

Project Executed- 320M3 MINI BLAST FURNACE & 33M2 SINTER PLANT

Mini Blast Furnace with Pig Casting machine, 3 Stoves, Gas Cleaning plant, Dust Catcher, Bag Dedusting System, Flare Stack, Stock House, Pump House, Blower House, Slag Granulation Plant & Pulverised Coal Injection Plant.

Circular Sinter Plant, Proportioning Room, Belt Conveyors. Crushing Room, Screening Room, ESP & Sinter Cooler.

Job Responsibilities:

•Involved in fabrication & erection of technological & building steel structure of 9000MT for 320 m3 Blast Furnace and 33 m2 Sinter Plant, RMHS & Rolling mill shed.

•All major fabrication and erection was done by M/s M C K Kutty& Co. and M/s Universal Engineering. Equipment erection was done by M/s M C K Kutty& Co.

•Maintaining & guiding the man power to meet the quality as per standard.

•Coordinating with SSIT, Chinese experts for any conflict in drawing and solve them to facilitate fabrication & erection as per schedule.

•Indenting for materials for fabrication of building and technological structures.

•Follow-up with contractors.

•Checking of fabrication qualities i.e. welding, bending etc.

•Installation of BF shells with four pole structures (320 m3).

•Pollution control equipment’s i.e. Dust Catcher, Gas Cleaning Plant (GCP), Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP of GCP).

•Stoves-3 Nos. & Chimney, Flare Stake, Ladle Repair Shop (LRS), Pig Casting Machine (PCM).

•Raw Material handling equipment’s i.e. Conveyor, Screens, Feeders, Hydraulics systems & pumps.
