OBJECTIVE: Semi-retired, March 2018. I would like to continue my career in HR after taking a year off to care for sick parent. The ideal organization would be a company that embraces the servant leadership concept. I am single and available to relocate, and travel as required.

2019 – 2020: Life That Counts – Cullman, AL – Human Resources Consultant
• In my most resent role, I started with this non-profit organization as a HR Consultant, writing the
Employee Handbook and Job descriptions, all recruiting of new employees. After one month, I accepted a full-time position to continue
all HR duties, plus administrative and marketing responsibilities.
2006 – 2018: WALMART, Transportation Office, Cullman, AL – Human Resources Manager
In this position, I was responsible for the HR function for 300associates and over-the-road drivers, with one direct report.
We managed Associate/Management relations, Benefits Administration, Community relations, Federal and State compliance, including D.O.T., Workers’ Comp, FMLA, ADA, Walmart policies and procedures to include training for managers and hourly associates, payroll, time and attendance, management, recruiting of all management, hourly, diesel mechanics and drivers.
2003 – 2006: Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, Athens, AL – Complex Human Resources Manager
Responsible for the entire HR function of 1,000 employees of this Poultry Processing facility to include a Processing plant, Hatchery and Feed Mill. Duties included Employee Relations, Community Relations, Training, Benefit administration, Recruiting and on-boarding, FMLA, ADA, Federal and State Employment compliance.
Direct reports included: HR Supervisor, Recruiting Manager, Benefits Manager and administrative staff of four employees.
2001 – 2003: Boar’s Head Provisions, Forest City, AR – Corporate Manager of Human Resources
Responsible for the day-to-day functions and operations of HR and Recruiting for this premium deli-meat company employing approximately 2,500 employees in a 5-state area, 2 facilities in VA, 1 facility in New York, 1 facility in AR, 1 facility in MI and corporate office in FL. Recruitment of all HR Managers and Management of facilities.
Six HR Manager direct reports.
Travelled 3 weeks each month and spent 1 week in AR as home base.
1991 – 2001: Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, Broadway, VA – Director of Employee Relations
Responsible of the entire HR function of 6,000 employees of this Poultry Processing facility with locations in VA, WV, NC, PA, 7 complexes in 4 states. Recruiting of all management and HR Managers.
