Experience:

In following areas Wound care, Geriatrics, Amputee Care, Acute care, Budget and Admin., Teaching, Home health, Nursing Home, Oncology, plasters and splints, Electro therapy. I was involved in research for a few WHO projects for a community based rehabilitation unit for three years. I have learned administrative skills, including budget making and marketing when I was a acting head of the department as well one of the clinical instructors for therapists, physio-technicians, medical and other allied health professionals. As an intern I worked with differently disabled children and their families with supervision for HOPE projects. Research:

1)Comparative analysis for tropical wounds (anesthetic for feet) using Zinc oxide. Report was published in international leprosy journal.1982

2)Semmes Weinstein mono-filament study to detect early neuritis with/without steroids. Preliminary report was presented in IAP conference.

Acute long term care- Evaluations and treatments, screenings and assessments, Delegation of cases to PTAs and supervision of Treatments, progress notes and cosigning, Discharge plans and placement recommendations with consultation of the team and patient functional status and support, Home eval, Care giver training, DMEs recommendations

3.Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center, Battle Creek, Michigan, 49017, 2000-2014):

Duties and Responsibilities: Acute In and outpatient Rehabilitation for 7 days a week with case load of Acute strokes, acquired, congenital and degenerative neurological impairments, TBIs(closed and open),Pre prosthetic and prosthetic trainings, multiple surgical and none surgical diagnosis (Joint replacement/spinal surgeries).Sports Injuries- complete evaluation as per protocol, Plan of care to implement effective and indicated appropriate Physical Therapy interventions, Assessment Of clinical judgement, Psychological sensitivity for In & OUT patient varieties Diagnosis. provide patient education, consultation and care giver trainings with Home exercises/discharge planning.
