MIDFIELD TERMINAL COMPLEX, INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - ABU DHABI POSSITION:

Senior Architect/ Package manager (Jan 2014 to current) The 700,000 square meter terminal building is one of the most crucial projects to be undertaken in Abu Dhabi and the USE and will initially handle 27-30 million passengers per year. The terminal complex is expected to cost AED 11bn ($2.95bn) and is scheduled to be opened in 2020.

Midfield Terminal is built to exceed global standards for connectivity and high-tech integration, and to ensure that the very latest in every system is installed, from baggage tracking and handling to flight display system, passengers will benefit from a highly sophisticated IT support system to ease and speed their journey through the airport. The project is part of the government’s aspiration to make Abu Dhabi a top tourist destination.

It will include approximately 18,000m of dedicated space for passenger facilities and duty-free retail stores, including high-end commercial offerings, internationally-renowned luxury goods and designer outlets.

International restaurants and cafes will be located in an approximately 10,000m area. An area of 27,500m will be dedicated for airline hospitality lounge, Pavilions, a museum exhibiting heritage and culture and a transit hotel.

As a senior Architect/package manager in this project below scope of work includes:

- Report to Technical Lead manager.

- Responsible for managing the design process and to ensure the designs are in compliance with the objectives of the buildings and facilities department.

- Prepare project report regarding design, specifications, materials and equipment’s and inspections.

- Assistance for preparation and presentation of proposed design to the client.

- Coordinate schedules and workloads with team members for production of construction documents, drawings and specifications.

- Assist in the prequalification of consultants & contractors as well as in the preparation of project plans, and specifications.

- Coordinating architectural design with structural, MEP, BMS, IT, Fire Engineer, Security System, Signage, Landscaping, and Fit-out.

- Coordinate with team members to response to contractors’ queries and RFI’s through systematic procedures or workshop holding with client, contractor, project manager, etc.

- Attending daily and weekly meeting with the contractor and coordinating the resolution of issues together with subconsultants.

- Working collaboratively with contractor through BIM model for the resolution of MEP, IT, structural and Architectural interfaces.

- Review and approval of all submittals received from the contractor i.e. RFI’s, RFEI’s, material submittals, samples, and shop drawings.

• BRF-BRAZILIAN FOODS FACTORY @ KIZAD – ABU DHABI. New project @ Khalifa industrial area @ Al Tawila, project follows ESTIDAMA requirements with I Pearl and the cost of the project was AED 450m ($122m)

• HOUSING PROJECTS – KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA.

Housing project in 14 different location in KSA, with multi stories buildings and other facilities, the cost of the project was SR 4.53bn ($1.26bn)

• INSTITUTE HOUSING PROJECT EAI – ABU DHABI.

Teacher’s institute housing projects, with cost of AED 110m

($35m)

• MANUFACTURING AND ICE FACTORY – AL AIN.

Project for AGTHIA GROUP, project area about 1,800m and the cost was AED 35m ($ 10m)

- Report to design manager/project manager during the preliminary design, Tender Documents Preparation, award of the
