PL/SQL Developer on the GSK Travel and Expense System. I was responsible for creating the application to parse and process xml messages via PL/SQL and XML XQuery, as well as provided Level 1 support. I also supported various applications by developing procedures/functions and modifying packages, writing Unix scripts, scheduling cron jobs and creating database objects. I provided Level 3 support as needed. Tools used were Oracle 9i/10g/11g, PL/SQL, SQL*PLUS, SQL, UNIX, CRON, Putty, SQL*LOADER, SQL*Navigator/TOAD and Oracle XML XQuery

October 2008 – February 2013 Consultant at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) INC.

PL/SQL Developer on the GSK Travel and Expense System. I was responsible for developing new packages and modifying existing ones, writing UNIX scripts, scheduling cron jobs and creating tables, views, sequences, etc as needed. I created journals and accruals in support of the general ledger systems JDE and SAP. Also, I interfaced with IBM’s TRACS system. Tools used were Oracle 9i/10g, PL/SQL, SQL*PLUS, SQL, UNIX, SQL*LOADER, SQL*Navigator and TOAD.

PL/SQL Developer – Responsible for developing PL/SQL packages to be used by Oracle Clinical validation and derivation procedures. Assisted other developers with PL/SQL coding. Created reports used by the Data Manager, Study Leads and department members to analyzed Oracle Clinical data. Conducted all PL/SQL code reviews. Managed all department PL/SQL code in the CVS repository. Created audit tables and triggers for all existing and any new tables in two schemas. Wrote XML for an autoencoding system using PL/SQL and Oracle 9i.

Programmer Analyst (PreClinical IT) – Responsible for planning and executing the deployment of a vendor software package. Duties included – planning and conducting database migrations (from Oracle 7.3.4 to 8.1.7) and configuration tasks, planning and conducting application installation tasks, designing and developing application installation scripts in an NT environment via Microsoft SMS Installer and producing a data migration plan, a deployment plan and verification scripts. Worked with the database group to establish database schemas. Conducted a data migration pilot. Tools used were PL/SQL, Export/Import, SQL, SQL*PLUS, and TOAD 7.4.

Technical writing which included Unit Test Plans, System Requirements, Technical Installation, Test Cases, Data Migration Plans, Unit Specifications, Design Specifications and gathered business requirements and prepared a feasibility report for the enhancement to an in-house web application.

Enhanced an existing in-house application that provided graphical trend reports to the users, with tools Visual Basic 6, ADO/COM, SQL, Oracle8, SQL*PLUS, and Quality Analyst 5.2. IVR Systems Developer - Responsible for developing IVR (Interactive Voice Response) Systems for Clinical Trials. Lead Developer on several major projects and maintained existing systems using Visual Basic 6, Oracle Objects for OLE, SQL, Visual Voice, PL/SQL, Stored procedures and functions, SQL*PLUS and Access97.

Designed/Build/Maintained Oracle7.3/8i databases used to manage patient data and created automated documents for the client using SQL, Triggers, Sequences, RightFax, Outlook, TOAD and Access97.

December 1998 - June 2001

Systems Engineer at Business Telecommunications, Inc.

TBS - Designed/Developed/Supported client/server applications in support of this vendor product. Wrote specialized utilities and front-end applications (CAIMAN, RAPTURE) with read/write capability to allow internal BTI departments to communicate with the product and make database corrections. Trained department members and users on the TBS application. The creation of CAIMAN and RAPTOR saved BTI approximately $2.3 million in licenses.

PayPhone - developed this application to evaluate BTI payphone activity on a quarterly basis.

TBS2Local – responsible for the modification and support of this internally developed application.

Local/TBS Audit – developed this application to audit the TBS and Billing system’s databases and produced reports showing the differences between the two.

Tools used were Visual Basic 6, ADO/COM, Oracle8, PL/SQL, Triggers, Stored Procedures and Functions, SQL, SQL*PLUS, Dynamic PL/SQL, Access97, Excel97, SQL*Loader, Oracle Objects for OLE, Q&E and TOAD.

Responsible for the design, development and support of PC software for the banking industry.

Sole developer for several major projects including Decision Power - an online credit scoring

system and Motivator – online sales tracking system to track deposit products sales.

was over 95% in the first week of implementation.
