Volunteered for the Association of Filipinos in East Timor (AFET) with more than 1,000 Filipinos working and residing in Timor-Leste in coordination with the Embassy of the Philippines. Elected as President in 2007 and a Board Adviser until 2019. With other co-volunteers, I led various social services projects such as medical/dental missions, church donation drives, gift-giving activities at the orphanages and poor families, home for the aged, and prisons including community activities such as clean-up drives and bloodletting donations for the blood bank. Together with patrons, I also helped raise funds for the victims of typhoon Haiyan in 2013 and donated several fishing boats to some fishermen in one of the badly affected areas in the Philippines.
