Although I lack work experience, I am confident that my skill set of working with people, which I obtain from Brock University would be a great match for this position. This can be shown by receiving the Student of the year award. I also have experience in the sales associate position. I worked in VR gaming which gave me skills such as time management, customer service, working the POS, and working under pressure and with a busy team. I am confident that you’ll find me as the best fit for the job as I have a strong hard-working mindset and dedication that I have obtained in the last 12 years. I worked in a VR game store where I came in with no experience but was still able to be one of the best staff. Because of this, I have developed my communication skills, customer service, and teamwork skills. During my time while volunteering, I was able to lead a group of 20 students to a small island where we were able to build a water well with the help of the people living on the island. This is one of the scenarios where I used my leadership skills and dedication that could be transferred on the job. There is more depth to my experience and leadership skills which are listed in my resume and I would appreciate you having a look over. Throughout my years, not only have I focused on academics, but I have been fortunate enough to volunteer around my community, all of which have helped me gain invaluable skills that will prove useful for this position. I had volunteered as a coach at a summer camp for kids from June to August of 2016, and through this job, I have learned the value of good guest relations. Ensuring that all kids coming into the camp are having the “best day of the year” experience, which will bring a good reputation to the camp and school, and personal satisfaction. I have also played on my school’s basketball team. Teamwork is also a big part of a basketball, as we must work with teammates in order to win. Because of good teamwork, we were able to win an international tournament while being undefeated.
