Job Description:
Obtain vital signs, identify the medical problem, and check for any allergies and current medications, document medical history.
Took ECG
Makes initial assessment visit at home or health care facility and re-evaluates client’s nursing needs along with other medical team.
Administer treatment to patients according to prescribed plan such as ID,IM,IV,ORAL,NASAL,NGT-feeding, suppositories,.
Inserting foley catheter and NGT Tube.
Assume responsibility for giving nebulization, Blood sugar monitoring and Intravenous fluid therapy.
Safeguard all stocks in the procedure room that includes medicines, sterilized instruments.
Evaluate that the patient understanding about the procedures.
Take consent prior the surgery
Assesses the vital sign of the patient and Check the Random Blood Sugar prior the procedure.
Secure the sterile field
Assisting minor surgery.
Prepare the patient for major surgery such evaluate the understanding of the patient about the surgery, history taking, secure the consent, collect all laboratory result, prepare the file, assure that the patient understand the instruction of the doctor prior the surgery day.
Cleaning/wound dressing, etc.
Assume the responsibility to remove the sutures or staples pain.
Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient and significant others to understand the condition, medications and self-care skills.
Maintains client’s privacy.
Protect patient by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures.
Providing personal care, help with meal preparation, and other day to day activities
Applies independent emergency measures to counteract adverse developments and notifies physician of patient’s condition.
Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
Ensure the safe patient care environment and enhanced it for the patient health care.
Maintain proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment necessary in caring for the patients.
Give safe medications and treatments and note patient’s reactions and record appropriately.
Proper documentation of the vital signs, input and output, procedures and diagnostic test done and make referral if necessary.
Give adequate health teachings to both patient and family members.
Give complete and informative records and reports.
