Maintenance Planner

Involved with start up and commissioning of plant. Loading PM’s BOM’s and equipment hierarchy. Started to work on Task lists to build up history of equipment in SAP

Worked with vendors getting quotes for required parts and entering PR’s for the parts. Also entered these parts into the SAP Material Masters as we found out that a history of these parts was required.

Worked as Maintenance planner through start up and into a running plant. At times filling in for Scheduler when he or she was on holidays

Blade 10 Coach 2015

Implement the Blade 10 system site wide with a goal of having Albian Sands being calculative by mid-2016. This system was designed to improve the work notification and work order so everything is there on time with the right resources available

Utilities Maintenance Team Lead 2012-2015

Supervised and scheduled a crew of 9 trades and 2 laborers

Executed the duties of Maintenance Co-ordinator during shut downs involving complete overhauls on two Frame 7EA turbines and stator rewind on generator section of turbine . Crew of up to 70 people involved in turbine overhauls

Contributed assistance with engineering on perfecting PM schedule buy eliminating redundant work and perfecting the quality of the PM

Responsible for the maintenance of two turbines, seven boilers, two water treatment plants, two cooling towers, two recycle water systems, cooling water system, raw water system, and river water system

Utilities Maintenance Planner 2010-2012

Encompassed with all aspects of commissioning a new plant (Jack Pine). Setting up BOM’s with inventory requirements.

Completed required mechanical work practices and procedures.

Created a preliminary PM schedule for operations/maintenance. This also included sight visits for verification of equipment installation and function.

Utilities Millwright 2006-2010

Set up an oil and greasing program in Utilities Area

Performed maintenance duties in the Utilities area. Including maintenance rounds to determine required repairs in the area

Engaged in the assembly of a critical parts list for the Utilities area through the use of vendor documents, e-spirs documentation, turn over documentation, field walk downs verifying equipment numbers, and our CMMS system SAP

Paired up with engineering to resolve reliability issues of recycle water pumps. Modified all pumps to mechanical seal from packing gland lowering the maintenance cost of these large pumps

Currently still working with engineering for modifications to river pumps to modify gland area to lower the cost of repairs from 250,000 to less than 10,000. Some pump modifications would be required.

Mechanical Lead on the commissioning team for Closed Loop Recycle Water. Spearheaded the modifications required on the pumping system to bring the pumps up to a higher level of availability before putting into service. Created all PM scheduling, BOM’s, Practices and Procedures

Cariboo Pulp Quesnel B.C 1996-2006

Maintenance Millwright

Maintained all parts of pulp mill on a rotation schedule to repair all equipment in the facility

Trained for 3 months in Vibration department on Data Pac and instrument readings

Converted to a dry end millwright for last four years. Scheduled all maintenance work as not to impair the production of the pulp machine. This was an unsupervised job where the millwright would order all required parts to keep equipment in operating condition.

This was an afterhours training on volunteer basis

Helped design and implement LEAP (Learners Education Assisted by Peers).

Tutored computer skills and fourth-class steam.
