Re: Support Specialist

To whom it may concern,

Please accept this and the attached resume as my application for the Support Specialist position at FreshBooks.

In my previous work experience, I was responsible for client management, business promotion, sales presentations, timely meeting of defined goals and targets, and building trust and confidence with the client and other stakeholders. In carrying out these responsibilities, I demonstrated effective, persuasive and clear communication skills – both oral and written – and for these reasons feel I am well qualified for this position.

Most recently, as a Social Program Manager at Impakt Labs, I managed The Tailor Project – a research and advocacy initiative aimed at telling the stories of immigrants who were brought to Canada from displaced persons camps after World War II to work in the garment industry in Montreal, Winnipeg and Toronto. I worked directly with the client in developing the project plan, managed the client relationship, oversaw the research, solicited project participants and conducted interviews with families which required building trust and showing empathy. I developed a plan to complete the project that involved identifying project milestones. I was responsible for raising awareness through building a website, managing social media platforms, writing web content and press releases. I also organized an event to promote the project that hosted over 1,200 people, including senior federal and provincial political leaders. My role required me to liaise with the media and develop the press materials that earned us national media coverage including coverage on TVO’s The Agenda, CBC, Toronto Star, Globe and Mail and others.

My earlier work at Impakt Labs included development and delivery of presentations to prospective clients and assisting in the design of programs to support clients’ corporate social responsibility initiatives. Having studied business management with an emphasis on marketing, I feel I am well suited for this position.

Thank you very much for taking the time to consider my application. I would be pleased to meet you to discuss my experience and how I might contribute to FreshBooks. Sincerely,

Nicole Bryck
