TOMAS, eApps, eServicing& PCADCS are few business critical internet / intranet web applications used by Santander Cards UK in different business areas. These applications provide Card, PLCC and sales auto financial services to their clients/customers like Debenhams, House of Fraser, Burton, Outfit, Laura Ashley, Top Man, Top Shop, Wallis, Miss Selfridge & others. These applications are primarily used for granting new credit / store card (originations) requests, e-Services through Online Account Manager and Payment Gateways Services. These applications are being developed (by GE) with a proprietary framework called XFactor which uses few custom developed Java Modules built on Spring 2.0, EJB 3.0 for model & entity tier interactions (that involves interaction with Oracle databases and other legacy systems like CICS (via SXP) / (VISION + mainframe via VMX and PCAS / Banksphere webservices) and is deployed on a clustered instances of IBM Websphere v6.0 & Glassfish.
