SME / Tech Lead: FileNet Installation and Migration of Document at APS

Upgrade FileNet application infrastructure from IBM FileNet Content Foundation 5.2.1 to the IBM FileNet Content Foundation 5.5.2. with update from Windows OS to Red Had enterprise Linux (RHEL) OS. The project involves building the new Linux based platform, install configure and migrate all data from all 12 object stores to the new platform. This includes migration of metadata, content and records to new system

Responsibilities:

Install of IBM FileNet products, Content Engine, Content Search Service, IBM Content Navigator and Enterprise Records Manager

Configuration of FileNet Content Engine with Active directory for creating libraries.

Configure Content Navigator and Enterprise Records for Auto declaration of records

Configure single sign on for IBM Content Navigator using Active Directory and Kerberos token.

Integration for their application with FileNet Content Engine using Web Service module. Design and develop the integration component, provide support to application developer on the integration development

Develop FileNet upgrade plan and data migration plan and ensure the existing business is not impacted

Design backup and recovery solution and High Availability for the system

Onsite Project Manager: FileNet Installation and Migration of Document at Norfolk Southern (NS)

NS moved away from its old legacy document management system to FileNet Content Foundation and migrated all their 10 million+ documents, including metadata to new FileNet system. I was part of architecture and application design team to design the process for migration and design al the integration points with third party applications. As a subject matter experts, worked closely with customer to understand their requirements, understand their integrated appliccations, document the requirements and provide technical solution.

Managing onsite and offshore resources work assignment, allocate work and monitor work assigned to the team

Managing timely deliverables to customers as per the project plan

Track project plan schedule and coordinate with team leaders / members for completion in timely manner. Identify project risk and plan for risk mitigation plan

Work with customer leaders to track and monitor the project plan, review timelines and provide weekly updates to the management

Log all the defects identified and manage the assignment, testing and closing of the defects. Provide daily defect report to management

Work with team on technical difficulties and provide guidance and support on providing solution to the challenges encountered

Project Manager: Records Information Management Implementation at APS

The first phase included defining the File Plan design for storing, managing and disposition of records for Law department. Phase 2 was implementing it enterprise wide 11 other departments. The Records manager was implemented in phased manner for other departments within APS. Defining and configuring and disposition using the retention schedule, record hold using dynamic hold feature. Additional responsibilities include yearly patching the application with fix packs, managing DR configuration, load balancing configuration and daily support/maintenance of system

Decommissioning of WorkplaceXT and redirection to IBM content Navigator using Tibco BusinessWorks. All existing URL having old FileNet URLs and WorkplaceXT URL were successfully redirected to Navigator without any impact to the end users
