Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, March 2015 – Current

Provide logistical support and analytical input to the Saudi Ministry of Defense and Interiors. Shipping and receiving an excess of over 300 million dollars in Saudi military assets and goods. Properly conducting inventory on all military equipment. Working on computer systems such as WMS and Davinci to accomplish my task. Using various current military DOD regulations to provide both the ministry and TLG on proper handling and logistical movement whether being by ground, air, or sea.

United States Air Force Reserves – Traffic Management Officer

Maxwell AFB, AL June 99 – Current

I am responsible for coordinating official military travel of military, DoD, and all eligible members and their dependents via GATES (GLOBAL AIR TRANSPORTATION EXECUTION SYSTEM) to their assigned destinations. I am responsible for coordinating the usage of military contracted packing and moving companies for the purpose of PCS movements and using cost efficient methods to help ensure safe movement of cargo. I use TOPS (Traffic Operator Position System) to input or check information regarding the personnel’s household goods. I have knowledge and use CMOS (Cargo Movement Operations System) to move and ship cargo via land, air, rail, and vessel. I am responsible for selecting the proper mode and shipment that will be better benefit the mission as well as save the government excess amount of dollars. I have the knowledge and skill set to accurately identify marking and labeling on inbound and outbound cargo. Proper knowledge of how to safely unload and load cargo off and on freights carriers and aircraft. To operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, buses, wreckers, and tractor trailers to ship or handle various pieces of cargo. Counsel both military and DoD on their entitlements and accurately inspect contracted carriers on the packing, unpacking, and shipping of members household goods. Supervise and train military personnel on Traffic Management procedures and functions. Participate in numerous Air Force Reserve wide inspections in accordance with US Transcom regulations to include AFMAN 24-204, DTR 4500.9R, IMDG, JFTR, 49 CFR.

Bagram Afghanistan, March 2012 – February 2015

Special Handling - I was one of 6 Hazmat certified liaisons for Bagram AB, Afghanistan for military equipment and vehicles. I inspected and performed (JI) Joint Inspections the various hazards that may present by military equipment and vehicles that can cause an issue to military aircraft as well as contracted flights. This is done by making sure the customers HAZDECS reflect to AFMAN 24-204 standards for shipping by aircraft standards. It is also done by making sure each hazardous piece of equipment or vehicle is packaged or detailed correctly by military regulation standards, if not it is my job to either correctly fix the customers SHIPPER'S DECLARATION FOR DANGEROUS GOODS or reject the cargo due to improper documentation. I was also responsible for computing the center of balance on various types of vehicles and trailers. I used the Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) to process each piece and conduct a daily inventory and a report that is sent up to upper military echelon.

Load Planning - Certify that weight distribution of the aircraft with cargo, baggage and passengers is in accordance with safety regulations and aircraft limitations. I reviewed aircraft weight and balance records and cargo manifest. Determined the quantity of cargo and passengers and troops to be loaded and proper placement in aircraft. I computed the weight and balance and determine the amount of weight to be placed in each compartment or at each station in a military aircraft. Considered factors such as fuel load, aircraft structural limits, and emergency equipment required. I used and operated the military Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) or Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS) to develop Aircraft Load Plans for USAF cargo Aircraft. Coordinated with US Army units and Air Force Loadmasters to ensure cargo is loaded properly onto aircraft.

Balad Iraq 2009-2011

Operations & Logistics: Was the primary advisor to the MCT (Mission Control Team) commanders and generals of all Theater Air Operations and flights in Iraq and Air Missions going to Afghanistan and Kuwait. Submitted, processed, and validated JMR (Joint Movement Request) by way of ITARS (Intra Theater Airlift Request System) for heavy duty cargo, high visibility personnel and items, and emergency equipment. Submitted AMR (Air Movement Request) through the proper channels for personnel going on R&R, personnel going on special assignments, or cargo that needed to be at its proper destination in a timely manner. Used SMS (Single Mobility System) or GDSS (Global Defense Support System) to track cargo around the Theater.

Provided ULNs (Unit Line Numbers) to chalk commanders for unit deployments, by the use of the Single Ticket Tracker of JOPES (Joint Operation Planning and Execution System). Used the Air Mobility Database to track all daily cargo and personnel flight numbers. Prepared power point slides, excel spreadsheets, and charts to show the monthly totals of cargo and personnel that have flown. Briefed all previous, current, and future air movement to upper military echelon from O-4 to O-7. Worked with the 13th ESC and the 14th Trans Battalion to accomplish critical mission throughout the AOR (Area of Operation).
