The Princeton Review, (2018-2019) Long Island/Manhattan, NY 35 hours per week
• Taught as an SAT/ACT Instructor and Tutor for The Princeton Review, teaching multiple courses for high school students per week as well as individual tutoring sessions.
Brooklyn Medical Group IPA/ACO (2016-2019) Brooklyn, NY 20 hours per week
• Worked as Global Administrative Chief under supervision of Dr. Hameed to manage patient lists for Medicaid patients with chronic illnesses according to measures put in place by the NYS DSRIP.
•Duties include triaging patients, coordinating care between doctors, reaching out to patients with chronic illnesses to set up appointments, managing care for patients with chronic illnesses all in an effort to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions by 25% by the end of 2020.
Jamaica Bay Water Quality Research (Fall 2018) via Stony Brook University, NY 10 hours per week
•Participated in research under supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Levinton to determine changes in water quality by collecting and analyzing water samples along the length of Jamaica Bay.
•Parameters measured and analyzed included temp, salinity, oxygen content, chlorophyll, ammonia.
Emergency Ambulance Services, EMT-B (Winter 2016-2017) Bohemia, NY 15 hours per week
•Worked as an EMT-B for a private ambulance company. Duties included transporting and caring for patients in private and emergency settings.
MEDLIFE Volunteer, (2016-2017) via Stony Brook University, NY 10-15 hours per week • Active member of MEDLIFE, a program dedicated to assisting families living in poverty-stricken areas of South America through strategies such as setting up free mobile clinics for check-ups and distribution of medicine and common healthcare items that patients are lacking, as well as working on local infrastructure projects such as building staircases and installing plumbing.
•Fundraised for the MEDLIFE Project Fund for which proceeds go to developing and staffing mobile medical clinics, building schools and other infrastructure projects, and maintaining a network for long term care of underdeveloped regions in Latin America and Africa.
•Attended a volunteer trip to set up and participate in mobile medical clinics in multiple locations in Riobamba, Ecuador. Worked under the supervision of local doctors to assist and treat patients, as well as assisted in the construction of a concrete staircase for a local village that replaced a dangerous dirt path in the side of a mountain.
Citizens Campaign for the Environment, (2015) CCE, Farmingdale NY 20 hours per week
•Worked for a local non-profit organization involved in the preservation of the environment through both pushing for legislation and fundraising concentrated on the land throughout New York state and parts of Connecticut.
•Fundraised for a variety of projects including issues such as opposing hydrofracking, a successful push legislatively to ban the sale of any pharmaceutical products that contain microbeads and fundraising for restoration efforts in the Long Island Sound.
CVS Pharmacy Technician, (2013-2015) CVS Pharmacy, Commack NY 25 hours per week • Provided and maintained superior levels of customer service and patient relations in a retail pharmacy.
• Efficiently complete daily operations including but not limited to: filling prescriptions, contacting insurance companies for patients, inventory reports and helping patients manage and understand their medications in professional and courteous manner.
