Lab Lead - Global Polymers LLC (April 2017 - December 2019) As Lead Lab Technician I managed laboratory staff in order to allow the Director of Quality to manage all necessary administrative work and interdepartmental communication. My responsibilities included ensuring testing was completed in an efficient and timely manner, training any new technicians on all aspects of laboratory operation, and monitoring employee morale and workplace satisfaction. I was relied upon to be flexible with the hours that I worked, which entailed working 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as coming in early and staying late. Additionally, I was often called upon to utilize my extensive knowledge of plant operations in order to assist other departments in whatever aspect necessary. After the resignation of the Director of Quality, I took on additional responsibilities similar to those of the Director, as well as the monitoring and guidance of certain production processes. Interim Director of Quality - Global Polymers LLC (March 2016 - April 2017) While Interim Director of Quality I was responsible for ensuring that all material leaving the production plant met quality specifications unique to each customer. I attended daily production meetings where I coordinated plant schedules with the heads of other departments to ensure that high-quality material was produced and the plant ran as efficiently as possible. Laboratory Technician - Global Polymers LLC (September 2015 - March 2016) As a lab technician for Global Polymers, a plastics recycling company, it was my responsibility to retrieve and run tests on samples of bulk processed materials. These tests are designed to measure various physical properties, such as viscosity, density, tensile strength, etc… As a member of the quality control team, it was also my responsibility to inspect bulk orders of material and approve or reject them for shipping.
