● Added support for a low vision aid device to be used with a Bluetooth controller. Collaborated with an ophthalmologist to make the controls and the button mappings to zoom, increase contrast and invert color, more intuitive for patients.
● Worked in a multidisciplinary team to develop a low-cost way to screen for good eye vision. Researched and designed the test slides, developed an app to control it remotely and store test results in a database. Intern (Jan17 - Jul17)
● Engineered a POC to recognize readings from medical devices to reduce errors from manual recording. This included creating an app which captures, pre-processes the image and uses a retrained Inception V3 model to recognize its digits.
● Developed a module to format data using Bootstrap, convert the webpage to pdf and store it in Amazon AWS S3 which helped store medical reports.
PROJECTS
● Designed a servlet-based web application, a BestBuy clone, where customers can place orders, receive email confirmation, write reviews and managers can manage their inventory. (StubHub API, Java, MySQL, MongoDB, JavaMail)
● Scraped posts from theawkwardyeti(web comic), developed a REST API and deployed it on AWS Elastic Beanstalk during Uncommon Hacks 2020. (Django, REST, Sqlite3) - Project Link.
● Implemented a REST API using Spring MVC and Hibernate which allows user to add, update and delete customers in a CRM like application. (Spring MVC, MySQL)
● Fetched data from Twitter, performed analysis to remove emoji’s, punctuations, stop words and used supervised classification to annotate tweets with their usernames. (Twitter API, Python, logistic regression)
● Authored and published “A comprehensive review on traffic prediction for Intelligent Transport Systems” at IEEE
