IT QA Manager

As IT QA Manager facilitated the upgrade and testing of the company’s Oracle based ERP from 10g to a 12c Oracle database back-end.

Managed the UAT testing efforts related to the database upgrade for the entire company, which included load and performance testing.

As the software QA tester, performed black-box and white-box testing with regards to the ecommerce web-site and related application development processes in an Agile/Scrum SDLC process.

Performed bug reporting and tracking tasks throughout the website/application development life cycle. Also performed regression testing as needed during the software development process within a .Net environment.

Worked closely with the developers in the ERP migration of the legacy ERP system to the new SAP ERP system. This involved extensive bug finding, tracking and web services testing activities.

As a tester/business analyst a significant role in the user acceptance testing (UAT) process. The primary purpose of the UAT process was to ensure that the web application performed at acceptable levels for all of the customers including customers that required specific functionality other than what was available to the general users.

Worked closely with the project manager to coordinate the customer approved UAT requirements into a detailed test plan.

Responsible for the logging of any bugs encountered during the UAT process and ensured bug resolution by the end of the bug lifecycle process.

Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer Technologist

As SQA lead applied various SDLC methodologies such as black-box and white-box testing within an UNIX environment using the Waterfall methods to validate system and software development processes via test plans, test procedures and test cases, for compliance to engineering requirements, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

As SQA lead was responsible for assuring that the software development processes captured all of the requirements, both customer and regulatory within the software product. Static reviews were performed on the software code against the formal requirements.

Testing was performed to ensure that the various equivalence class inputs resulted in the expected outputs for that class of inputs. Regression testing was performed to ensure that upgrades and modifications did not introduce any new defects that would adversely affect any functionality established prior to the changes.

As SQA lead performed the regression testing processes, which were primarily automated, to ensure that the appropriate components were tested based on impact analysis of the bug fix.
