Job Responsibility: -

Receives notification of alarms, multiple alarms, EMS alarms, and other significant emergencies through the dispatch office

Communicates with other fire personnel at emergency scene about conditions, size-up, etc.

Obtains knowledge of traffic laws and street conditions in order to operate the apparatus safely and expeditiously.

Connects or hooks up apparatus to fire hydrant and operates pumps to supply water in appropriate pressure and volume using couplings, hoses, spanner wrenches, and other tools.

Locates seat of fire or other hazard (e.g., gas leak) by observing, smelling or listening for smoke, sound, flames, gas, vapors, etc.

Uses extinguisher to extinguish, contain and/or control incident.

Operates ladder from ground controls or from platform controls, while watching for power lines, trees and other overhead obstructions.

Cuts through surfaces using power saws and other power tools

Removes locks or hinges from doors using sledgehammers, battering rams, axes or other forcible entry tool.

Carrying out routine our inspection on the process for rotary and static equipment, pipe line and other related jobs.

Compliance to permit system like Hot Job, Height job etc.

Daily Safety round of all plant & site.

Operation testing & maintenance of Fire Fighting Appliances (Fire Extinguishers, Fire Tender, Pump, Hydrant, Monitor, Smoke Detectors, Sprinklers etc.

Operation, testing of BA Set.

Participation in Emergency / Fire Call / Rescue call / and Mock Drill.

Participation in Energy, Environment, and Safety & Health related issues.

Documentation work via Training records, Accident / Incident, Maintenance, PPE etc.

First Aid Measures for Injured Person.
