• Perform billing for commercial insurance, MVA/PIP and Medicare.

• Review all claims to ensure they are following current coding and billing guidelines.

• Transmit claims to clearing house or individual insurance companies electronically or via paper CMS-1500 form.

• Create insurance and patient aging reports using our billing software, Silkone.

• Follow up and resolve any issues on unpaid or rejected claims.

• Prepare appeal letters to insurance carriers when not in agreement with the claim denial.

• Check each insurance payment/EOB for accuracy and compliance and post onto patient’s accounts.

• Review patient balances and send out monthly statements. Then follow up with patients on unpaid balances.

• Uphold and reinforce office policies and federal regulations, such as HIPAA.

• Provide back up to the front desk with verifying benefits, checking the patients in and out, collecting their copays and scheduling their next appointment.

• Perform additional administrative duties such as scanning documents, answering the phone, mail distribution, preparing weekly deposits and ensuring we have provided current credentials to all companies who request them. • Answer the phone for all tenants in the building.

• Fill out and process work orders for virtual or non tenants for using empty offices and the conference rooms.

• Sort mail and faxes.

• File and organize documents.
