Inventory system analysis. This Projects deals with managing all the views present in the Warehouse and extracting the key information related to those views.

Transforming the (Low Level Design) LLD into code modules.

Extended the stored procedure for generation of static views to periodic views, which is semi-automated that helps in maintaining only the required number of versions of periodic views and automatically drops the previous generations based on the application specific requirement.

Made the best use of the metadata from Teradata’s data dictionary for coding this application, which is used to keep track of the privacy settings imparted to views.

Tools Developed Using Excel Macros:

Maintenance of Privacy Report Tool. The views that are developed by the users need to be privacy complaint. This tool analysis the view created and provides the complete report of the status of the view.

Enhancement of View Generators Tool. A view generator system is used to generate a basic structure of views based on the needs of the users.

Business Metadata Document (BMD) Tool was developed using Excel Macros and SharePoint. The BMD was developed for users to provide view information to the clients and get approval for view Privacy settings. This document restricted access based on their role played for the privacy settings. Upon the approval of settings, they are fed into the database for the inventory system automatically.

Clarity tool – based on the project hours provided by the clients, a clarity sheet is prepared for the team members involved in the projects and their billing time.

Clarity tool Phase II – based on the project hours provided by the clients, a clarity sheet is prepared for the team members involved in the projects and their billing time. The Phase II Clarity tool contained profiles for both the clients (business users) and users (Vendors) to input values and/or derive values from with the help of on-screen tools for all working locations. Also, monitoring was quick and easy due to the built-in statistical charts.
