I had the pleasure of working with Philip for over 30 years at Streva Distributing as he progressed and moved up from his beginning as a route delivery assistant to his final position of Operations Manager.

Phil’s responsibilities included the computing and issuing of the company’s biweekly payroll, managing its human resources (HR) functions and operations including health insurance, uniforms, recording and tracking work related accidents and injuries for workers compensation claims, recording non-work related accidents for short and long term disability claims, and managing the company’s end of its 401K retirement program as well as managing all other regular office functions and operations.

In addition to regular office operations, Phil had the responsibilities of sales forecasting for his use in his added function of product procurement, which involved not only ordering product but also tracking shipping plans and product arrival dates and making adjustments as needed and as allowed by suppliers in order to minimize out of stock situations.
