WORK EXPERIENCE

Teaching Assistant, MicroGrid Syracuse University January 2019 – December 2019

• Collaborated with Associate Prof. Tomislav Bujanovic in instructing Electrical designing software PSS®E, PowerWorld, MATLAB, and evaluating projects and grading for course ELE691 Microgrid. Sr Associate Engineer D.C. Arya Business Solutions PVT. LTD, India September 2017 – December 2017

• Led two different team of ten engineers to provide market evaluation and electrical designs of the projects.

• Provided off-site construction support and was a part of power budgeting and equipment procurement teams. Sr. Electrical Maintenance & Testing Engineer D.R. Constructions, India Sepetember2013 – August 2017

• Pre-Construction and construction support for the transmission group in the renewable energy field.

• Rendered electrical schematics to customer specifications for Control Panels using Auto CAD and LABVIEW.

• Led and carried out an analysis to assess voltage dip induced frequency dips on the power system based on frequency stability analysis, which increased 55% SNSP.

Intern Lanco Infratech limited, India June 2011 – August 2011

• Assisted with the power plant maintenance department with a generation capacity of 90MW divided into three equal modules.

• Supervised performance tests on Francis turbine and reported abnormality in blades caused due to the flow of high slit debris through the turbine, provided input, and assisted in designing debris collector gates with improved efficiency of 92%. PROJECTS

Analysis of Wind Turbine Asynchronous Generators in an Isolated Systems

• Developed a system using the Simulink (MATLAB R2010a) platform, which involves the analysis of frequency during different load flows and to establish a network with stabilized frequency during load flow contingency using Asynchronous Generators thus increasing the efficiency of the system by 60%.

• Modeled a Wind power system that synchronizes with the grid while maintaining the stability of the network using stored energy in an Asynchronous Generators, when wind frequency falls below a rated value of between 10m/s-12m/s. Designing of Microgrid for a residential city area

• Modeled and analyzed microgrid for a residential area for 24 hours with the inclusion of wind and solar power into the local grid system using MATLAB, Power World, and Time Step Simulation with a time interval of 15 minutes.

• According to data and developed optimal powers, the addition of solar park and wind farms leads to an increase in efficiency with reduced power consumption, and the whole city’s daily energy cost reduced by four times.

• FACTS devices and dynamic simulation (PSS/E) are used to test the transient stability of the power system and to stabilize the voltage regulation.

Transmission-system and OLTC Transformer Model Analysis

• On-load tap changing (OLTC) transformer designed in MATLAB to analyze the VI profile in the transmission system.

• 5000 data set created by generating the VI and energy profile combined with the line fault analysis further helps in improving the efficiency of the system by analyzing it through machine learning. Optimal Location of Smart Meter to detect the faulty region in a Distribution system

• Developed a distribution system to determine the optimal location of Smart by applying Machine learning methods Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naive Bayes (NB) classifiers using MATLAB & OpenDSS system to identify the faulty region.

• Developed a human machine interface system (HMI) with ML and MATLAB algorithms to detect AG fault. Op Amp Control for Ambient Light Sensor

• Designed the Ambient light sensor using op amp741 as a comparator to sense when the ambient light in a building is sufficient to control the appropriate light sources.

• Implementation of which could save more than half of the power consumed by using an ambient light sensor. Moving Average (SMA) Filter

• Designed SMA filter using MATLAB- DSP ToolBox for industrial application.

• Implemented the filter into the stock market using historical data to generate buy and sell signals.

• Audio application of the filter to notch down the high-frequency component of the audio signal and reducing the noise.
