Job Responsibilities in Land Surveyor

Road inventory for existing road and topography survey works on national highway.

Transferring the RL & BM from main points to proposed site.

Align the Drawing as per Survey coordinates.

Centre line marking in road works using Total Station.

Read and Execute the Drawing as per the site requirements.

Give training for the newly joined surveyors about track work survey.

Taking OGL’S and NGL’S for cross section.

Calculate height, depth, relative positions, properly lines, and characteristics of terrain.

To responsible for getting prepared Survey map, sketches etc.,

To responsible for the correctness and accuracy of all Survey required for the project.

Job Responsibilities in Asst. Land Surveyor

Coordination with planning for good progress.

To execute survey works as per monthly programs.

Study the Drawings and prepare layouts using Auto CAD.

Open foundation bridges layout marking.

Topographic survey work for Road and canal construction work.

Collecting topographic details from the site and prepare the drawing.

Setting out the center line for proposal road and existing road widening.

Collecting the spot level after finishing the construction work.

Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications.

Hydrographic Responsibilities

Use Specialized technical software and equipment

Positioning system, sonar’s, single and multibeam echo sounders, laser scanners and LiDAR (light detection and ranging)

Manage projects, both onshore and offshore, as vessel- based

Provide accurate and reliable information for other disciplines such as navigation, dredging, coastal works, marine wind farm development if working onshore

Works as part of team of technical specialist.
