I make UX problems simple to understand and create clear solutions. I am motivated to make complex bureaucracies easy for patients to navigate in a crisis.

I enjoy presenting ideas and collaborating with multiple partners across an organization including Marketing, IT, executive leadership and vendors to execute on them. While at Beacon, I’ve presented results of my work multiple times to the executive leadership team and feel equally at ease in a boardroom or leading associate training as I do designing independently at my desk. Experience

Digital Marketing Specialist - Digital Design & Customer Experience Beacon Health System

Jul 2018 - Present (2 years +)

In July 2018 I joined the newly formed Digital Design and Customer Experience department, leading digital transformation efforts across the organization. As part of the web-experience sub-team, I focus on web infrastructure, UX/UI development and localized SEO strategy. In 2019 I focused on web infrastructure and cloud technologies to improve our patient experience online. The adoption of Cloudflare, WP-Engine, BrightEdge and cross-domain tracking resulted in a 70% decrease in website load time, a decrease in site development time in some cases by months and allowed us to deploy a localized SEO strategy that linked analytics data across a disparate system of websites and online appointment scheduling tools.

In November 2019, we relaunched the Beacon Intranet website that serves over 7,000 employees. The former site had a large top-navigation that we decided to remove in a phased approach. Results from our analytics comparing new and legacy UI showed the new features were immediately adopted across the organization. In early 2020, I proposed an idea with my teammate to create a subdomain response website for COVID-19. We planned, designed and developed the site in a week, using agile methods to proactively iterate and expand site features as the crisis escalated. Our work was featured on a national webinar as an example of effective UX and communication strategy.

In June 2017 I led the search process for a web platform and integration partner to redesign Beacon’s main website. During this 12 month project I led the project team on content migration, platform configuration and UX/UI feature design.

The provider, location and event knowledge management I developed for the launch of the beaconhealthsystem.org website served as the source of truth for public location data across the enterprise and was requested by leadership to serve as the basis to expand our knowledge management with our vendor partners Yext and Kyruus.
