EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A leader with over 20 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility and breadth across regional and global sales & marketing, commercial product management, manufacturing, and research

& engineering at Faurecia Corp. (Hug Engineering), Caterpillar Inc., Intel Corp., Southwest Research Institute, and Allison Gas Turbine (General Motors Company). Joel has an extensive background in engine emissions and development, engine research and testing, engine product management, and engine and systems marketing and sales via both B2B and sales through the extensive global Caterpillar dealer network. As a transition from product development and engineering to marketing and sales, I was a founding team member at Caterpillar responsible for launching the Emissions Solutions Group, a new business unit which focused on aftermarket sales of engine emissions reduction technologies. I was also an inventor on one of the key patents supporting this entrepreneurial style business start-up. This business unit is now a global business unit within Caterpillar. Additional multi-year developmental assignments at Caterpillar extended my strong technical background to a global role in commercial product sales along with strategy creation and execution. As a team member who supported the initiative to establish a global accounts team within the Electric Power group, I returned to a role in Sales as a Global Account Manager in a targeted, highly profitable growth segment. This senior staff role expanded my previous experience of 10 years of sales and marketing positions.

My passion across these broad experiences extends from the conception and launching of new products or business ideas to experiencing the great satisfaction that comes with successful sales of such products or services. With career growth focus on sales management targeting a senior leadership role for new product and business opportunities, I made a career change in 2019 and joined Hug Engineering which has a strong global reputation for highly engineered emissions solutions for marine, rail, and stationary applications across a broad range of engine platforms across all the major engine OEMs. My role at Hug Engineering included leading and supporting a team of sales & marketing professionals with responsibility for the Americas.
