Providing adequate patient care to those with CHF, acute strokes, COPD, pre-CABG surgeries, pacemaker/ICD insertions, etc. Recently our unit was designated as the COVID-19 + unit and provided care to those patients, as well.

Utilizing broad nursing skills including but not limited to: trach care, ostomy care, tube feeds, urinary catheterizations, specimen collections, IV insertions, using IV push/ IVPB medications, assessments, properly communicating with interdisciplinary teams/ patients’ families, utilizing insulin protocols, heparin/cardizem drips, providing patient education/teaching, etc.
