I was diagnosed with liver disease in the summer of 2017. By the time I was diagnosed and placed on the transplant waiting list, my symptoms were profound enough to prevent me from working. I am one of the lucky few for which a liver was found for me and transplanted in September 2019 giving me a new lease on life. I am now at the end of my recovery period and I am anxious to return to work.
