Employment History

PG TECHNOLOGIES

July 2019 – January 2020

QUALITY ENGINEER

I worked in the Material Review Board (MRB) of PG Technologies where I performed quality control reviews on parts processed by our company to determine if they met conformance standards. If they did, I approved them to ship. If they did not, I wrote up a non-conformance report and sent them for further evaluation until they were cleared by GE.

I also maintained an active presence on the warehouse floor and attempted to catch and prevent as many production mistakes as I could before the parts made it to MRB.

To summarize, it was my responsibility to ensure that we were shipping quality parts to our customers and not allowing defects to slip through the cracks.

Unfortunately, I didn’t survive a company-wide lay-off in January 2020 following the decision to halt production of Boeing’s 737 Max as that I was still one of the newest employees to the site.

VERICOR POWER SYSTEMS

January 2018 – April 2019

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

I enhanced my knowledge of gas turbine engines and educated our customers on how to self-service their engines during maintenance trips (both local and international),

I utilized Team Center, Motor, and the Microsoft Office Suite software programs on a daily basis.

I was responsible for rebuilding bleed air valves and ASE8 fuel valves, testing them, and getting them to pass ATP tests.

Rebuilt OPGs (output groups) and accessory gear drive boxes

Performed first stage nozzle buildups

Completed Level II TF50 Engine training

My job included rigging and disassembling engines regularly, bore scoping, changing fan sets and multiple components on the engine for different configuration (depending on the type of tests being performed), and setting up the arena for crosswind, noise testing, flutter testing, and fan stall testing.

With this job, I was selected multiple times to travel to AEDC to help perform and support important tests based on my skills and knowledge of the field. Because of my knowledge and experience, I was also asked to act as Acting Lead (Supervisor) on numerous occasions when one of our regular Leads would call in.
