Personal Statement

I am a Training Professional with over 25 years of experience in the field. This includes a variety of duties related to the positions of instructor, trainer, instructional designer, curriculum developer, training coordinator, and training manager. My experience includes the utilization of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model as well as the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) model. My objective is to continue to expand my experience and knowledge base for the remainder of my career.

Employment History

January 2020 to Present Contract Instructor, Special Warfare Instructor Qualification Courses

Crew Training International, Special Warfare Training Wing, Medina Annex, Lackland AFB, TX

Responsible for instructing USAF Special Warfare Instructors on specialized instructor techniques required for the Special Warfare Training Courses. This includes the Initial Instructor Qualification Course, the Refresher Instructor Qualification Course, the Instructor Supervisor Course, and the Advanced Instructor Course. This includes the development of lesson plans and training aids to meet the identified training objectives of each course.

August 2019 to December 2019 Lead Census Field Manager

U.S. Census Bureau, San Antonio, TX

Responsible for oversight of field data collection activities related to accomplishing the 2020 U.S. Census while directly supervising an assigned team of Census Field Managers, Census Field Supervisors and office clerks.

This includes providing instructor-led lectures, hands-on exercises, and written examinations during training courses. Also responsible for performing pre/post-event activities such as documenting training statistics/lessons learned and contributing in status calls. Assisted in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of all RSAF AOC courses. Responsible for conducting four scheduled courses per year, which includes 2 Initial Training Courses and 2 Refresher Courses. In addition, supports continuation training in the customer’s facility and serves as an AOC subject matter expert (SME) when necessary.

Coordinate these inputs with the Training Wing Scheduler and Schedulers from other BA Courses to resolve any possible conflicts. Once the weekly schedule is finalized, coordinate with Transportation to schedule bus transportation to each training event for the week.

Jan 2010 to Mar 2012 AMMROC Training Manager

AMMROC, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Abu Dhabi, UAE

The Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) mission is to establish a centralized Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Center for all aircraft in the UAE Armed Forces inventory. Included in the mission is the establishment of a Training Center responsible for training all AMMROC employees as well as all UAE Armed Forces aircraft maintenance technicians in the technical skills required to maintain 29 different aircraft platforms.

•Developed, and implemented an initial assessment program in order to evaluate all units and employees inherited from other organizations as AMMROC assumed responsibility for UAE Military Aircraft Maintenance.

•Utilized the results of the initial individual and unit assessments to identify, analyze, and correct performance gaps as well as develop a strategy to standardize all training activities at 7 different geographical locations.

•Collaborated with the Human Resources department to develop a Performance Management System which included not only the standard leadership, management and business competencies, but also included technical competencies. This proved to be a more holistic and realistic Performance Management System.

July 2008 to December 2009 F-16 Training Center Manager

Lockheed Martin, Al Dhafra Air Base, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Lockheed Martin was initially contracted for the production, delivery, and maintenance of the UAE Air Force’s premier jet fighter; the F-16 Block 60. Key was the establishment of a Training Center for the technical training of over 200 Lockheed Martin Employees as well as over 500 UAE Air Force aircraft maintenance technicians.

•Successfully led the on time delivery of technical training courses for 18 different aircraft maintenance specialties to both Lockheed Martin and UAE Air Force Aircraft maintenance Personnel.

•Supervised all aspects of the Training Center including classroom, instructor, and course scheduling, course content changes and revisions, as well as overall daily supervision of the courses and instructors.

•Supervised the Train the Trainer program to develop UAE Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Instructors.

Served as a Tactical Air Control Party Specialist for 14 years including 12 years as a certified Enlisted Terminal Attack Controller.
