Senior Field Service Engineer: My position was to manage, maintain, up-grade and support Beta site and production PLC controlled (Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley) semiconductor-processing equipment throughout the Western United States and Asia Pacific Theater. I also performed the duties of a Project Manager ensuring that all aspects of the installation were on time and within budget.

SUMMARY OF SKILLS

Control Circuits My knowledge of control circuits for motor and process control is state of the art. I have excellent background with a broad selection. CPU controls (networked to sub-components via Ethernet or serial communication). My PLC experience is primarily with Allen Bradley type PLCs (SLC5,SLC500 and SLC500) interfaced with Rockwell software and some work with Mitsubishi and Siemens PLCs as well. This covers ladder logic application troubleshooting and minor program modification. As for motor controls I have worked with VFD controlled units as well as standard motor control circuits. In relation to instrumentation I am well versed in all types of control circuitry, 4-20ma 1-5 VDC, 3-15 PSI…Temperature: (TC, Thermistor, RTD, ECT).

Pressure control: (PSI and Vacuum) closed loop with a throttle or mixing valve and open loop. (Transducer, TC gauge or Baratron. Flow control: Monitor open loop or controlled closed loop, MFC, flow meters. VFD, Thayer Scale, Auto Weight, and LVDT

Boilers Knowledge of both Chemical and system maintenance of low pressure boiler systems (90-110 psi).

RF / Microwave: I have worked with both RF and Microwave systems. Impedance matching networks, wave-guides, control circuits and power supplies.

Electronic: I am well suited in trouble shooting both digital and analog circuits to the component level if needed. As well as the use of a oscilloscope, all manners of DVMs. Troubleshooting to component level. Full knowledge of AC/DC theory as well as Digital theory. Soldering and building prototype circuits on a breadboard or PC board.

Electromechanical: I have worked with a wide range of various Electromechanical devices and systems. HVAC, Wind Tunnels, Kiln controls, back-up generators and OCBs to list a few.

Electrical: Knowledge of all types of electrical wiring and coding ( NEC ) ranging from residential to industrial (Certified June 1982).

Hydraulics / Pneumatics I have worked with both Hydraulic and Pneumatic actuated systems and have a complete understanding of both. Rams, Cylinders, hydraulic pumas.

Chemical Monitoring & Vacuum Pumps /

Gas Delivery / Delivery I have 10+ years of experience working with variety of vacuum pumping systems and chemical delivery / monitoring systems, both glasses and liquids. This includes vacuum pumps ranging from Cryo-pumps to Roots Blower / backing pump stacks. I have worked extensively with Polly, Teflon, and Stainless lines used in delivering both glasses and liquids.

Schematics / Drawings /

Drafting / Machining: I can read mechanical, electrical, structural, and electronic schematics. I also have basic machining skills with hand operated Mills, Laths. I can weld using an orbital welders, gas welders and rod arc welders. I can also create basic mechanical and electrical drawings using Autocad.

Computer Skills: I have been working with PCs since 286 CPU types. I have an expert level in DOS based applications as well as a near expert level with windows applications (Windows 3.11, WIN95, WIN98, XP and some LINUX). As well as an excellent understanding of SECS II and networking protocols, applications and hardware.

In relation to office software I am well versed in Microsoft office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Projects (Cert 1999).

E. R. T. / FIRST AID: Although not currently certified I have been fully trained in both Chemical Safety (MSDS, Decontamination, handling, spill containment and clean up) and First Aid (CPR, first-aid, and chemical exposure). At Applied Materials and Aromat I was an active member of their E. R. T. teams.

Organization / Communication: I have managed many projects during my time as a field engineer and have no problem with writing daily reports, planning out a project (using Microsoft Projects). Budgeting both time materials and other contractors into a completely unified group for the purpose of a timely completion of the project.
