Milne Fruit Products is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Mechanics in Prosser, WA to repair, maintain and troubleshoot industrial food processing machinery. Skills in boilers, refrigeration, electrical and controls, or PLC's are great but not required. What we are really looking for is a mechanic with mechanical aptitude, the skills to troubleshoot problems, a positive attitude, and the desire to learn our equipment and expand their current skill set. We have several openings in different disciplines The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Additional training either through school or hands-on experience.

• Demonstrated ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations.

• Good math, language, reading and communication skills

Answer:

I have been working two jobs because neither job will put me on full time . At this time I have been waiting for things to reopen to go back to work . Everything is questionable at this time . I want to work a fulltime job, at least have 40 hours + a week . Seasonal is ok, but I would prefer year around . I am a very talented welder / fabricator, can build any thing out of metal . I have worked in food processing, designed process equipment and have a mechanical engineering background . . I have been involved with Sawmill operations, managed shop operations supporting production . I am available at your convenience, thank you . Question:

Milne mechanics perform maintenance and repair in the areas of 480v electrical; refrigeration; forklift; welding, fabrication, industrial equipment; plumbing and other maintenance tasks. Of these areas, what is your strongest skill? Answer:

I have 40 years of heavy equipment mechanics experience . I have maintained fleets of forklifts, at one time I had a fleet of 57 Lift trucks producing 1 million board feet of finished lumber a day . We processed 150 log truck loads of logs every day in production . I was the Rolling Stock Manager at Summit Timber in Darrington WA.

.I am familiar with voltages up 13,800 v, I used to maintain the electric boilers at Russet King Potato in Warden Wa, where I was Line Mechanic at the Flake plant . I am an experienced Welder / Fabricator can weld any material / any position . Although I have little experience with refrigeration, I am familiar with the process of removing the heat, was certified to handle anhydrous and understand the principles required in moving liquid gas products . Moving the vapor and replacing it with liquid .
