Edmonton, Alberta, coordinating and signing off RFIs, reviewing and signing off IFC drawings, developing and maintaining construction schedule from numerous on-site construction companies, managing all mechanical and piping activities on-site, developing, and implementing strategies for new vendors, and coordinating with operations for plant turnover.

Monitored 10" pipelines installation that supplied well pads and primary processing plant.

Suncor MCU – General Site Superintendent

Plant 52 Fire rebuild project, Fort McMurray, Alberta.

General Site Superintendent was responsible for managing all construction activities for on-site plant work, dealing with Operations and coordinators daily, developing plans, schedules, and human resources loading for the identified scope. Responsible for all workers maintaining the company's HSE manual, participating in HAZOP and risk reviews, massive lifting operations, and coordination of Vendors on site.

Syncrude Canada – Senior Construction Specialist

UE-1 Project, Fort McMurray, Alberta

Senior Site Coordinator responsible for planning/scheduling resources and directs for new equipment, revamp, and debottlenecking work from UE-1 in preparation for future turnaround work, developing forecasts of work-scopes for upper management. Responsible for ensuring that all work planned and executed for the turnaround is in compliance with Syncrude's and legislated standards, safe work practices, and work protection codes.

Exxon Mobile Development – Mechanical and Pipe Superintendent on the Project Management Team

The project consisted of Acid Gas Injection system, 3-GE frame 6B combustion turbines with 3 Deltak HRSG and Hydrogen Reformer, project value $400 million

Senior Mechanical and Piping Superintendent responsible for auditing safety and quality of construction management team, critiquing plans and schedules for on-site construction contractors, coordinating and planning turn around work at the Shute Creek plant, and coordinating with on-site vendors. Responsible for liaison between operations, engineering, and the construction management team, planning inspection test plans for the scope of work.

As I was part of the management team, I verified costing for new scope performed by contractors. Monitored and notified the construction manager of anomalies in the contractor's progress, safety, cost, quality control, and schedule performance as per contractual commitments.

Supervised the installation of 20 Km of 6" CO2 disposal pipeline

Encana – Construction Manager

The project consisted of installing two (2) LM6000 GE turbines with two OTSG boilers and a combined cycle Dresser-Rand Steam Turbine, project value $116 million

Construction Manager was responsible for all aspects of construction, which included civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation. Responsibilities included ensuring health, safety, and environment systems implemented correctly based on corporate policies, scheduling, and chairing on construction planning, safety, and coordination meetings. Verified progress payments as to physical completion quantities, prepared deficiency list(s) before substantial and mechanical completion certificates issued to the contractor(s). Adjusted back charge costs for direct and indirect services not supplied by contractor and vendors and closed out of final invoices and scope of work.

I monitored the 10Km installation of 10 km of 6" FRP pipe from pumphouse to the main plant.

Pan Canadian – Mechanical Superintendent

The project consisted of installing two LM6000 GE turbines with two OTSG boilers and a combined cycle Dresser-Rand Steam Turbine, project value $116 million

Mechanical Superintendent was responsible for supervising the mechanical installation for the project. Responsible for ensuring the contractor followed all ASME codes and practices and performed due diligence relating to safety, interpreting specifications, and codes (ASME B31.1, B31.3, Section 1- "Rules for Construction of Power Boilers" and Z662.1), and implementing welding inspection aspects of quality programs. Ensured that all non-destructive and other examinations were performed in accordance to contract documentation, assisted in the constructability for the mechanical scope of work, and provided assistance in the planning and scheduling of the mechanical contractor's scope of work. Supervised the pre-commissioning and the start-up for a simple and combined cycle and attended daily construction and weekly progress meetings.

Nova Chemical & Union Carbide – Construction Superintendent

I supervised the installation of reverse osmosis water treatment packages supplying potable water for Cogeneration Units for Nova Chemicals Poly Ethylene plant Joffre Site, near Red Deer Alberta

Supervised numerous turnarounds at Nova Chemicals Joffre site and Union Carbide Poly Ethylene and polyethylene plants, near Red Deer, Alberta. Work consisted of removing and installing trays on towers, remove and install new catalysts and refurbishing reactor units.

I was responsible for estimating bid packages for new projects, planning/scheduling for new construction projects, supervising field installations for new projects, coordinating and dealing with Client' day to day problems. I participated in writing Quality Assurance and Quality Control manuals for the corporate offices.

Various Clients- Key Lake, Saskatchewan, and Barnowko Poland– Mechanical Piping Superintendent

Piping Superintendent responsible for supervising the piping and mechanical installation for new tailings storage tank (Cameco Uranium Mine)
