Dear Hiring Manager:

I am an experienced EHS Professional currently seeking new opportunities as your Regional EHS Coordinator. As you will note from my resume, I have more than twenty years' experience in the Environmental, Health and Safety field. Possessing a proven track record of reducing employee work-related injuries, realizing influential cost savings, successful safety program development and technical skills would be a valuable asset to any Supply Chain team.

As the Safety Manager, I helped create the successful EHS management system prepare and develop various safety and environmental compliance programs. In past positions, I was involved in various environmental and safety issues involving reporting, testing and industrial hygiene concerns and directed many environmental efforts including: Environmental assessments, audits and strategic EHS management plans along with safety training, policy/procedure development, ground and air shipping of hazardous materials involving: samples, products, and waste in bulk and non-bulk packaging . I have successfully managed the Process Safety Management Program at Lubrizol, Valspar and Akzo Nobel. In addition, I have written and personally conducted environmental and safety training programs for shop, technical, and management personnel. My Safety Action Teams (SAT’s) and my personal intervention have helped keep the safety record at the Kankakee, Illinois facility free of recordable injuries for two (2) years earning us the Corporate Presidents safety award.

Furthermore, I was one of the key technical resource specialists for my past employers, Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc. and Werner Company, on such issues as the Clean Air Act Permit (CAAP), the Annual Emissions Report (AER), SARA reports, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC) reporting, and many other regulatory areas related to NPDES, DOT, and OSHA.

Realizing that this correspondence provides a mere introduction to my professional experience, I would appreciate an opportunity to further discuss how my qualifications would benefit your company in-person. I have enclosed a copy of my resume for your review.

Sincerely,

John William Lillquist
