Employment Details

1. since Jan’16 till present with Rabigh Arabian Water & Electricity Company PETRO RABIGH, Rabigh, Saudi Arabia as Shift Supervisor.

January, 16 to Present – Shift Supervisor

Rabigh Arabian Water & Electricity Company (RAWEC) is the special purpose company created to develop, own and operate the Rabigh IWSPP. The project is the utilities provider (power, water and steam) within the Rabigh Complex “PETRORABIGH", the integrated refinery and petrochemical complex being developed by the joint venture of Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical of Japan.

It is a 840 MW thermal power plant with 13 nos of 490 TPH corner oil fired (HFO) boilers and 7 nos of 120 MW steam turbine & 5 nos of flue gas deshulphurization plant & RO based Desalination plant

I was involed in the commisionng of phase 2 of 4 x 490 tph HFO fired boilers and 120 mw x 2 turbine & 2 nos of FGD. Later I am working as shift supervisor looking after the operation of plant in shift.

My work include efficeint operations of power plant, to be in close coordination with PetroRabigh personnels for daily updates on steam, water and power requirements of refinary.

2. since Nov’12 till Dec’15 with GMR Energy Ltd., Warora as Associate Manager (Shift Charge Engineer).

Was involved in the commissioning of BTG of 300 X2mw, total 600 mw thermal power plant. The unit consists of two 1250 tph Pulverized Fuel fired boilers and two 300 mw steam turbine.

My work during commissioning was managing my team, Prior arrangement of work planned. Successfully completed boiler hydro test. boiler chemical cleaning, steam dumping, and various turbine pretests & conducting performance guarantee tests

Both the units got commissioned in 2013 and now I am looking after the operation of plant in shift as Shift charge engineer.

As shift charge engineer my work is developments of juniors for taking higher responsibilities, ensuring safe and efficient working, monitoring defects, load scheduling with load dispatch center, safe and efficient light up and shutdown, keeping check on water and steam parameters, trouble shooting, preparing daily plant performance report, identifying system improvement plants and involve in implementing it.

Highlights

Zero accident from commissioning to commercial operation declaration.

I was awarded spot award for quick restoration of unit with limited time and man power.

2. since April’10 to Nov,12 with JSW Energy Ltd., Ratnagiri as Deputy Manager (Shift Charge Engineer).

April, 12 to Nov, 12 – Deputy Manager (Shift Charge Engineer)

April, 10 to March, 12 –Assistant Manager (Unit Controller)

JSW energy ltd is a 1200 mw thermal power plant with 4 units of 300 mw each, single unit consist of boiler which is Pulverized Fuel fired boiler of 1015 tph and turbine of 300mw with HP, IP and LP stages in two cylinders.

Commissioned unit # 1 boiler and turbine, carrying out boiler hydro test, chemical cleaning of boiler, steam blowing etc also various oil flushing for turbine, commissioning of various pumps and fans, seal oil system, vacuum system, stator water system etc,

later was working as unit controller (operation and maintenance) assisting shift in charge for shift wise work of unit #1 & 2 example, issuing ptw and proper isolation of system, coordinating with port for coal feeding related issues, coordinating with Load dispatch center for daily capability and load scheduling, maintain effective water and steam parameters, efficient unit start up and shutdown and handling emergencies.

was promoted to Deputy Manager (shift in charge) in April, 2012 and was working as shift in charge looking after the operation of boiler, turbine and BOP areas in shifts.

Highlights

Fastest cold start up achieved with time taken less than OEM requirement.

Reduction in oil consumption from 80 kl to 30 kl achieved by impleting system improvement plan for reduction in oil consumption during light up.

3. since June’08-April’10 with DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd., Bharuch as Asst. Manager.

It is a 55mw thermal power plant with 240 tph Pulverized fuel fired boiler and turbine is of 55 mw BHEL make.

was involved in the commissioning of turbine and its auxiliaries like CEPS, BFPS, OIL FLUSHING etc. and later was working as control room engineer looking after the plant operations in shifts. My work included optimum utilization of fuel, maintain efficient parameters for boilers and turbines.

4. May’07-June’08 with Indian Rayon- Aditya Birla Group, Veraval, Gujarat as Engineer

It is 36.5 mw co-generation thermal power plants with two units

16.5 mw [Skoda make] condensing extraction turbine and two 50 tph CFBC boilers [ISGEC.J.T. make]. and

20 mw of [shin Nippon make] condensing extraction turbine and 105 tph [thermax make] imported coal based CFBC boiler.

Here work as engineer and look after the operation of power plant in shifts, my work includes efficient operations of boilers and turbines [Tata Honeywell DCS]. Co-coordinating with other service department for day to day maintenance and during emergency. Planning and executing annual shutdown and preventive maintenance.

5. July’05-March’07 with Welspun Power and Steel Ltd., Anjar Gujarat as Engineer

It is a 12 mw thermal power plant with 4 WHRB boilers of 10 tph each and 1 AFBC boiler of 20 tph with 12 mw Siemens turbine, got chance to witness turbine manufacturing at Siemens, Vadodara for 3 months as was looking after the procurement of turbine, later I was involved in the commissioning of turbine and auxiliaries and then I was working as field engineer.
