Contract position, working directly with a large, international company based in the Midwest. Directly managing a team of 200 professionals. Company is currently without a VP of EHS and EMEA regional EHS lead. Significant work needed to collaborate EHS with overall company response to Covid-19
Leading crisis management specific to the corporate COVID-19 response, primarily from an EHS standpoint and in close partnership with HR, legal, procurement and manufacturing
Advise the company on how best to manage the COVID-19 crisis response across the operating regions and support the team in making rapid and effective decisions.
Assess the crisis response efforts to-date and recommendations for enhancement.

Directly managed a team of 140 plus personnel in 28 countries, including 22 manufacturing facilities, three R&D sites and 76 offices. Managed a $28MM budget within 2% variance.
Worked directly with the Senior VP of Small Molecule line of business (LOB) to coordinate safety activities across the globe, including launch of behavior based safety, tighter controls on reducing employee exposures to highly hazardous compounds, and improved incident investigations.
Key member of the Small Molecule LOB global team and EMEA leadership team, providing strategic direction to the global LOB and Europe region.
Worked with the global environmental team to eliminate hormones in waste water.
Led sustainability efforts in Europe to align, meet and promote Merck’s stated goals.
Spearheaded a team to enable the divestiture of part of a manufacturing site ($6 BN sale), including the development and acceptance of the Dutch authorities to hold all environmental permits in an above site legal entity. This enabled the sale to occur within 10 months of the initial agreements.
