PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
My professional life has included work in many areas of banking, but I started in retail management with 7 direct reports. This was a key-carrying management position, frequently with responsibility for an entire 40,000 square foot retail store.
I progressed into the financial services industry, where I completed the management training program with Norwest Financial, (Now Wells Fargo), and learned gained extensive experience in all facets of mortgage lending, including sales, and initial underwriting. This was a predominantly a sales position, with strong analytical and organizational skills required, along with great attention to detail, and the ability to develop business from outside the company.
In banking, I began as a mortgage underwriter in 1998. I held this position, with $250M in approval authority for 2 years. In this position I reviewed 12 applications per day. I was promoted to banking center manager at Bank of America managing with 12 direct reports. This required that I lead, manage, and provide oversight and training for mortgage loan sales. I moved on to Wachovia, as a small business banker, closing $12MM in mortgages in 2006. I was then promoted to the regional position of Small Business Consultant in which I would consult with management, clients, and prospective clients. I was hired as a business banking relationship manager at Fifth Third Bank in late 2008. This involved origination and closing of commercial mortgages, and developing an annual marketing plan. At Suncoast Credit Union, I underwrote commercial and residential mortgage loans, including purchases. This included the evaluation of business and personal cash flow. I was then rehired by Fifth Third as a financial center manager, with complete responsibility for a $35MM financial center with 4 direct reports, where I trained associates on mortgage sales for purchases and refinances. I was recently hired as a commercial relationship manager with Achieva Credit Union.
