Title Improved Secured Data Transmission using modified LSB
(Least Significant Bit) based Audio Steganography
Tool
Used:
MATLAB
Description:
The objective of this research work is to propose a header based LSB audio steganography technique to embed information or message in wav file in order to reduce minimum effect on audio signals and to reduce the overall computation time of long audio file size. This proposed technique also deals with modification of LSB in order to hide the images in the audio signals for copy right protection and also for secure image sharing. The algorithm of proposed technique contains two parts: First part gives the step to embed image as a secret message into wav file called encoding process; Second part gives the step to detect the secret embed image from the output stego wav file called decoding process.
6
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the existing work and report the identified gaps in the existing technique.
Modified LSB in order to hide the images in audio signals for copyright protection.
Implemented algorithm (in MATLAB) and compared results based on few selected parameters (KPIs) to evaluate the performance of proposed technique w.r.t. existing technique.
Projects Undertaken
Project : Designed and developed a web application
‘BRAINYARD’ that helps to share resources with other users
Programming
Background
JAVA, JavaScript (for client side validations), Java Server Pages, HTML, CSS, JDBC, SQL Server.
Description
Brainyard is a web application that allows users to create an online pool of resources like books, magazines, CD’s etc. for future reference. It incorporates a system of file sharing in which the creator of a file or folder is, by default, its owner. The owner can regulate the public / private visibility of the file or folder. The user can store, share, edit and download resources of other registered users.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafted technical, functional and system specifications.
Create Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) that connects Java programming languages and databases.
Designed database tables using primary and foreign key.
Primary and foreign keys are used to establish and identify relation between tables to ensure that each record within a table can be uniquely identified by a combination of one or more fields within a table.
Develop Client-side validations using Java Script.
Key modules developed: Login Module, New User Registration, Profile Management, Books Maintenance, Multimedia Maintenance, Web Link Maintenance, Sent and Received Share Request Maintenance. List of Publications
