JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acting as the main technical adviser on construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives.
Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
Monitoring setting out, levelling and surveying the site.
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client, consultants.
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
Planning the work and efficiently organising the site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Ensure construction QA/QC processes are being implemented by the Sub contractor.
Report about progress, non-compliance, delay in work to the Project Manager/Operation Manager.
Ensure that Communication regarding any changes in plan have reached the engineers/Sub- Contractor’s Representatives.
Generally responsible for implementations of all civil, structural and architectural works at site.
Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site.
Plans the execution of all civil related works and coordinates the works to electrical and mechanical groups.
Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.
Preparing BBS (Bar Bending Schedule) from the structural drawings.
Inspect the Reinforcement bars, the right spacing and diameter of the Reinforced bars is maintained.
Inspecting the shuttering so that concreting can be carried out.
Planning and management of all site deliveries.
