• Conducted product design FEA pre-processing analysis using ANSYS on seven heart pumps, including geometry clean up and simplification, mechanical meshing, fluid volume extraction & meshing process, processed mesh quality improvement
• Implemented purge resistance testing using pressure meter and liquid flow sensor
• Captured images of miniature pump components with Keyence microscope and inspected for defection
• Designed and machined a custom-fit attachment using a milling machine for a flow sensor in purge resistance testing setup, reducing error of result from flow sensor by 8%

LiDAR Object Detection and Classification Apr 2020
• Segmented LiDAR 3D point cloud into distinct objects
• Tracked paths of moving objects to get an estimate of velocity
• Classified moving objects into pedestrians and bikers
• Tested on datasets of Northeastern Autonomous Car with Velodyne vlp-16 involving moving vehicles Groove Design for Controlling Thick Plate Butt-welding Angular Distortion May 2018
• Construction Craft Mechanics Simulation Laboratory, Professor: Wang Jiangchao, HUST
• Utilized parallel calculation method to speed up calculation process (decreased calculation time by 79.3% on temperature field and 73.4% on stress field)
• Performed thermal elastic-plastic finite element analysis code to calculate 40-40mm plate butt-welding angular distortion
• Created 6 different types of grooves by keeping width of the groove constant and changing height ratio (h1/h2) between height of upper and lower groove
• Obtained optimal parameter (h1/h2=5/9) and controlled the final distortion within 2mm Numerical Analysis on Effects of the Welding Deformation of Stiffened Plate Structure Apr 2017

• Concluded central radial welding method exerted relatively less plate deformation than other method
