Dear Potential employer:

I, Gillian C. Louissaint have functioned in the nursing profession on various different planes. My career began as a CNA shortly after high school graduation from Clara Barton High School for health professions. Eventually in July of 2000, I achieved one of my life goals and became a Registered Nurse. My educational pursuit began in high school and has led me on a path that began with being a CNA and has advanced through to FNP.

As a Registered nurse my career has consisted of psychiatry, cardiac, and post anesthesia nursing for adults and in the past two years children have joined the focus. I acquired a BSN in 2011, as well as a Master’s degree in Family Practice and became accredited in January of 2018. During my nursing practice I have served as a Certified Charge in the PACU, Diabetic resource nurse, and served on the PIT crew that helped the nurses that were going to sit for FLASPAN certification. During my stay at the Children’s Surgical Center, I was instrumental in the transition to their new facility, and served as a resource nurse and preceptor for the newly employed. Most of my clinical experience during school was done at Azalea Health Clinic under the care of Dr. J Pulwers and Dr. M Vastey, in which a variety of patients were seen form all spans of life.

My professional Growth plans include; obtaining a DNP, Teaching at the Professor level, obtaining a certificate in psychiatric nursing, and participating in medical missionary work.

Sincerely

Gillian C. Louissaint
